Instagram is down, and the internet can’t cope.
For a few hours on October 27th, the world was without Instagram. The popular photo-sharing app went down for several hours and took the internet with it. The app was back up within a few hours, but not before Twitter users took to their accounts to complain about their lack of ability to post selfies or their sadness over the loss of pet photos.
The outage also affected Facebook, which owns Instagram. Users reported being unable to access Facebook Messenger and some apps such as Spotify were also affected. Many of those affected took to Twitter to voice their frustration at not being able to post pictures of their lunch or show off how well they decorated for Halloween.
