Why is Boris Johnson being ousted

Boris Johnson has been ousted as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Boris Johnson has been ousted as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, following a vote of no confidence in his leadership by Parliament. In a shock move, MPs voted against the former Mayor of London and current Prime Minister by 329 votes to 302. This means that Boris Johnson will be replaced by Jeremy Corbyn as PM on October 31st, just over two weeks before Halloween. Boris Johnson’s tenure as Prime Minister was marked by controversy from the start, but it was his handling of Brexit that ultimately led to his downfall.

Why is Boris Johnson being ousted?

The reasons for ousting Boris Johnson are varied and numerous. The final straw for many MPs came when he announced that he would be suspending Parliament for five weeks starting on September 9th in order to push through a no-deal Brexit if necessary. This prompted an angry response from opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn, who said that it was “unacceptable” to shut down Parliament in order to force through legislation.

In reality, though, this is just one of many reasons why MPs were so keen to oust Boris Johnson from office. His time as Prime Minister has been plagued with controversy since day one.
