Seth Rollins was the first-ever NXT Champion.
WWE Superstar Seth Rollins has been very vocal in his dislike for CM Punk, even going so far as to say that he “hates” him. However, Rollins has never really explained why he feels this way about the former WWE Champion and 2x WWE Champion. The two have never actually had any kind of physical altercation, but their disdain for each other seems to be mutual. So what is it that makes Seth Rollins hate CM Punk?
The biggest issue between the two Superstars is the fact that they are both currently on top of their respective games in WWE. When CM Punk made his return to WWE at Money in the Bank 2017, he did so by attacking Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and taking his title away from him. This was seen as a direct shot at Seth Rollins, who had just won a grueling match against five other men to win the Universal Championship only moments before Punk’s arrival.
Rollins and Punk have both been instrumental in bringing prestige back to their respective championships. The Universal Championship was viewed as little more than a prop for Brock Lesnar until Rollins became champion and proved that it could be used by multiple people without losing its value or prestige. Meanwhile, CM Punk’s work with Ring of Honor helped make the Ring of Honor World Championship one of the most sought after titles in professional wrestling history.
