In September 2018, the corporation was accused of being “too London-centric” by Public Accounts Committee chair Meg Hillier. She said: “The BBC’s political coverage does not reflect the whole country and we have found it too London-centric.” Bethany Bell is one journalist who could have been used to help balance out this criticism.
Who is Bethany Bell?
Bethany Bell is a British journalist and television presenter. She was born in 1969 in London and studied French at Oxford University before going on to work as a journalist in France, Germany and Russia. After returning to Britain, she worked as a producer for ITV News and then joined the BBC as its Paris Correspondent in 2003.
