Elon Musk’s twitter account has been shut down several times in the past few months.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s Twitter account was deactivated on Thursday, October 25th, after he tweeted about a British diver involved in the rescue of 12 Thai boys and their soccer coach from a cave. The tweet was perceived as being insensitive to the diver and led to his account being shut down. It’s not the first time that Musk has had his Twitter account suspended. In July 2018, he got into trouble for saying that he wanted to take Tesla private at $420 per share and that funding was secured. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against him for making false statements regarding taking Tesla private. A settlement was reached between Musk and the SEC, with him agreeing to step down as chairman of Tesla’s board of directors for three years.

In September 2018, Musk got into trouble again when he tweeted about having “funding secured” for taking Tesla private again at $420 per share. He later clarified that this time it wasn’t actually secured.
