Ikaris was one of the first five volunteers to undergo human testing of the Resolve drug. He was a patient at St. James Hospital in London, which had been selected as a test site for the drug. Ikaris’ suicide came just three days after his second dose of Resolve, and it is believed that he killed himself because he didn’t want to become an “inconvenience” for his family.

Who is Ikaris?

Ikaris was a 56-year-old man who lived in North London with his wife and daughter. He worked as a manager at an office supply company before being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2017. The disease progressed quickly, leading to Ikaris being unable to walk or use his hands by 2020. Despite this, he remained active in his community, volunteering at a local school and taking part in several marathons.
