Carhartt has been a popular clothing brand for decades, especially among blue-collar workers. The company was founded in 1889 by Hamilton Carhartt and is now owned by VF Corporation. In the documentary Death to 2021, Carhartt is listed as one of the celebrities canceled in the year. However, Netflix’s new satirical documentary fails to explain why exactly Carhartt was canceled.
The fashion company isn’t the only brand included on Netflix’s list of celebrities who were canceled in 2021. Other brands on the list include Applebee’s and KFC, which had already closed its doors long before 2021. Carhartt is also included on the list alongside other people who are still alive today, such as Kim Kardashian West and Matt Damon.
