The assassination of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was a suicide bombing that occurred on October 25th, 2021. It was perpetrated by the leader of the 2020s-era Japanese Red Army.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was killed in a suicide bombing at the start of October 2021. The attack occurred during a campaign rally in Osaka and has been attributed to the leader of the 2020s-era Japanese Red Army, known as “Takayuki Yoshino”. Takayuki is believed to have been responsible for several other attacks that took place throughout Japan in 2023, including a chemical attack on Tokyo and an explosion at the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The bombing itself was carried out by two suicide bombers, one male and one female. The male bomber detonated his explosives outside of the stadium where Abe was speaking, while the female bomber detonated her explosives when she tried to enter.
