Over 4,000 ATMs have been down since October 27th.

Over 4,000 ATMs have been down since October 27th. The problem is widespread across the UK and is affecting various banks including Barclays, Santander, HSBC and Lloyds. A number of people have reported being unable to withdraw cash from their accounts or pay for goods using their debit cards. Some banks are telling customers that they can’t withdraw cash until Monday November 5th. There are some reports that the problem is being caused by a technical issue at one of the banks.

The cause of the problem has not yet been confirmed by any of the affected banks or their IT providers. However, some people on Twitter have suggested that it might be linked to a cyber attack similar to the one which took place in 2017.
