Shane Dawson’s YouTube channel has been removed after he posted a video that featured jokes about pedophilia.

YouTube star Shane Dawson has come under fire for a series of jokes he made in a now-deleted video. The video, titled “I’m Sorry,” was posted on his channel in June 2019 and discussed how the YouTuber was “ashamed” of his past. In the video, Dawson makes several jokes about pedophilia and other topics that have caused controversy among viewers.

Dawson addressed his old comments about child abuse in the opening minutes of the 18-minute-long video. “I just want to start off by saying I am sorry to anyone who is offended by this video, because I know I can be crass and rude and insensitive, but I really didn’t mean to hurt anybody or cause any drama or anything like that,” he said. He then went on to make several jokes at the expense of pedophiles and others who have sexually abused children.

Dawson previously came under fire for making controversial comments about sexual abuse when he was younger in 2012. He later apologized for these comments and said they were made during a time when he was struggling with mental health issues.
