Johnny Depp’s former managers are suing him for more than $25 million in unpaid fees. The actor, who has been accused of domestic abuse by his ex-wife Amber Heard, is accused of refusing to pay his former management team at The Management Group (TMG) for his Pirates of the Caribbean movies and other work. TMG filed a lawsuit against the actor on Friday (October 26th), claiming that he had “repeatedly refused” to pay them since 2016.
TMG claims that they are owed $4.2 million from Depp’s work on 2015’s Black Mass and 2016’s Alice Through the Looking Glass, which were produced by Warner Bros. They also claim that they are owed an additional $23 million from various other projects including Mortdecai, The Tourist and Dark Shadows.
“Depp knew full well that TMG was entitled to receive all such amounts under its agreements with him,” the lawsuit reads. “Instead, he has chosen to fight TMG in court.”
