Tracy Shankley has been a mainstay of Emmerdale since she joined the soap in 2001. However, the actress is now saying goodbye to the Dales after 16 years on the show. The star made her final appearance as Tracy Metcalfe on October 26th, 2019. The soap confirmed that Tracy would be killed off in a dramatic exit and fans are now eager to find out who killed her.
Who is Tracy Shankley?
Tracy was introduced as an old school friend of Viv Hope and Marlon Dingle in 2001. She had been away from home for many years and moved back with her husband Brian, who had been living in London. Tracy struggled to adjust to life back in Emmerdale and was used as a way of exploring themes such as domestic abuse, bullying and homophobia over the years.
Why is Tracy leaving Emmerdale?
The actress has said that she will be leaving Emmerdale at the end of her contract this year.
