The Darksaber Heavy is a unique type of heavy tank that was first revealed on October 10th, 2021.
After the New Republic’s victory over the First Order at the Battle of Jakku, the First Order continued to use remnants of its fleet to launch attacks against the New Republic. In response, Chancellor Mon Mothma commissioned a new line of weapons to be developed in secret by Republic engineers. The result was the Darksaber Heavy, a unique type of heavy tank that can be seen today in action across multiple worlds in the galaxy.
What is a heavy tank?
Heavy tanks are usually deployed on large-scale battlefields and are designed to fight against other vehicles and structures. They have high armour and powerful weapons, but their weight makes them difficult to move quickly. They are also vulnerable to being flanked by smaller vehicles or troops with anti-tank weaponry.
What is so special about this particular heavy tank?
The Darksaber Heavy has been specially designed for one purpose: taking down walkers. It features an advanced energy blade that can slice through armour and disable walkers quickly and efficiently. It also has several powerful cannons that allow it to take out infantry quickly as well as slow enemy tanks down before they get too close.
