Is Russell Westbrook benched for the remainder of the season?
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook has been placed on a “minutes restriction” by head coach Billy Donovan. The minutes restriction was put in place after a sideline outburst from Westbrook against the Orlando Magic on October 21st, where he had to be restrained by teammates and coaching staff.
After putting up 46 points in his first game back from injury, Russell Westbrook went on to score more than 40 points in each of his next two games. In addition to these impressive scoring performances, Westbrook also averaged more than 10 rebounds per game and nearly 10 assists per game over that span. However, it was during the third quarter of his third game back from injury that things began to unravel for Westbrook.
