Why is New York Orange

The New York Orange is a new sports team that was introduced to the city in 2021.

In 2020, the NFL announced that it would be expanding to London, with the addition of a new team. This team would be called the London Lions and would play in Twickenham Stadium. This news caused outrage among many NFL fans in New York City, who felt that they were being neglected by the league. The league responded by saying that there were no plans for an expansion to New York at this time. However, after much lobbying from New Yorkers and promises from the city government that they could provide a suitable stadium for an NFL team, the league agreed to expand once again in 2021.

New York was originally given three options for where their new stadium could be built. The first was on Staten Island near what is now known as Staten Island Stadium, which has been used for various sporting events over the years including baseball and football games. The second option was at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, where Shea Stadium once stood before being torn down in 2020. The third option was on Manhattan’s West Side along with Madison Square Garden and Penn Station.

Where will New York Orange play?

The final decision on where to build a new stadium came down to two sites: one at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park or one next to Madison Square Garden (MSG) on Manhattan’s West Side.

“New York Orange will play at Madison Square Garden.”
