Ken Paxton, the Republican Texas Attorney General, is facing impeachment following his arrest on three felony charges of securities fraud in 2015. Ken Paxton has been the Attorney General of Texas since 2015 and was re-elected for a second term in 2018. Prior to this, he served as a State Representative for District 69 from 2003 until 2014 and then as a State Senator for District 8 from 2011 until 2015. He was first elected Attorney General after beating Democrat Sam Houston by just over 100 votes.
