Why is Hoda not on Today Show?

NBC announced in early 2021 that the Today Show will be getting a new co-anchor. The network released a statement explaining that they would not be renewing Savannah Guthrie’s contract when it expires at the end of June 2021. This meant that she would have to leave her position as co-host after 10 years at the end of June 2021.
