Minions are small yellow creatures who were created by evil genius Gru in order to steal the moon. Since then, they have appeared in every Despicable Me movie as well as their own spin-off film. In fact, Minions have been so popular that they have also starred in their own TV series and several video games.
Why are people wearing suits to minions?
The trend of wearing suits with minions started with fans of the franchise, who wanted to show off their love for these yellow creatures by putting them on everything from t-shirts to phone cases. It soon became clear that there was more than one way to show your love for minions though; some fans decided that instead of just putting minion designs on things like clothing or accessories, they would wear an actual suit covered in minion designs.
