Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is not playing football this season because of a shoulder injury. Cam has been injured since the end of the 2018 season, and he’s been recovering from surgery ever since. Cam has now returned to practice, but he’s still not ready to play in games.
Cam Newton played for Auburn University from 2007 to 2010. He led his team to two national championships and was named the Heisman Trophy winner in 2010. In 2011, Cam was drafted by the Carolina Panthers as their first overall pick. He became their starting quarterback in 2013 and helped lead them to an appearance in Super Bowl 50.
