The Green Bay Packers quarterback is not playing in the game against the New York Jets.
Aaron Rodgers is not playing in the Green Bay Packers game against the New York Jets on October 27th, 2022. He was injured during a game on October 20th, 2022, and has been recovering ever since. While his injury wasn’t initially considered serious, he was unable to play in this week’s game.
Rodgers suffered a concussion during a game against the Detroit Lions. The Packers quarterback was sacked by Lions defensive end Anthony Zettel and remained on the ground for several minutes before being helped off of the field. The hit came late in the fourth quarter with just over three minutes left to play and ended up being ruled as unnecessary roughness by officials.
Rodgers has been recovering from his concussion ever since, but he did not receive medical clearance to play until last week. Unfortunately for him, it was too late to get back into football shape and he will be watching from home as backup quarterback DeShone Kizer takes over for him this week.
