The actor’s new Netflix film is a parody of the 1992 movie Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Actor Adam Sandler has been cast as Dracula in the upcoming Netflix film Dracula: Year Zero. The film is a parody of the 1992 movie Bram Stoker’s Dracula, which starred Gary Oldman as the titular character. In Sandler’s version, he plays “Dracula, who has to take over his family business and save his hotel from modern day technology.”
Sandler has played Dracula before in his 1998 comedy Little Nicky, where he was also an antagonist to God (played by Harvey Keitel). In that film, God and Satan are on vacation together when they encounter a horde of demons. God sends Satan to Earth to fight them off while he stays behind with their son Nicky. When Satan returns from Earth, he brings with him Nicky’s half-brother – played by Sandler – who is actually the son of Dracula.
