The Indian Premier League (IPL) final has been delayed by two days after a Mumbai-based court issued an order for the match to be played in Chennai. The decision was made after local authorities said they would not be able to host the game in Mumbai, due to security concerns.

A number of venues were considered, including Pune and Kolkata, but it was decided that the final would be played at the M A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday May 26th. The stadium was named after former chief minister of Tamil Nadu M. Karunanidhi and is also known as Chepauk.
