Why her ep 7

American singer Taylor Swift took to Instagram on October 27th to announce that she was canceling her upcoming tour.

Taylor Swift is the latest celebrity to cancel a concert due to a respiratory illness. The “Shake It Off” singer took to Instagram on October 27th to inform fans that she would be canceling the remainder of her Reputation Tour due to health concerns. This comes after pop star Ariana Grande canceled the rest of her “Sweetener World Tour” earlier this month, citing similar reasons.

The Reputation Tour was scheduled for 66 shows across North America and Europe between May and December 2019. In addition, Swift was set to perform at two festivals: Tokyo Dome in July 2019 and Formula 1 in November 2019. Although Taylor Swift has yet to elaborate on the exact nature of her illness, it seems that her symptoms are severe enough that she has decided not only cancel all future performances but also refund all tickets sold for the remaining shows.

Why did Taylor Swift cancel?

It’s hard not to read into this sudden cancellation, especially given how quickly it came after Ariana Grande made a similar announcement regarding her Sweetener World Tour. Both singers are known for their vocal support of those affected by Cyclone Idai in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi as well as those impacted by Hurricane Dorian in Florida and Georgia.
