Boba Fett has slept in a bacta tank since he was a young boy.
Boba Fett is one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars universe, but not much is known about his backstory. The Mandalorian bounty hunter is famous for his armour and for being able to survive some of the most intense battles in the galaxy. But how did Boba Fett get so good at surviving? According to him, it’s all thanks to his bacta tank.
What is a bacta tank?
Bacta tanks are large tanks filled with bacta, or a healing substance used by the Rebel Alliance and later, the New Republic. Bacta can heal wounds and regenerate damaged tissue on contact. Bacta can also be applied topically to stop bleeding or speed up healing time. It’s no wonder that Boba Fett would choose to sleep in one as often as possible.
How did Bobba Fett get into the Star Wars Universe?
Bobba Fett first appeared in 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back as an unnamed bounty hunter hired by Darth Vader to track down Han Solo after he escaped from Cloud City with Princess Leia Organna. It wasn’t until 1983 that Bobba Fett was given his name and backstory in Return of the Jedi, when we learned that he was actually Jango Fett’s clone and son.
