The slap occurred as he posed for photos with fans, with one woman slapping him across the face before being removed from the event. The slap came after Will had posed for photos with fans outside of the Curzon Mayfair cinema in London. He was accompanied by his co-star Rebecca Hall, who also took pictures with fans. One fan reportedly asked to take a photo with Rebecca Hall, which is when Will intervened and said “I’m sorry I don’t do pictures with people anymore”.

“I don’t do that anymore because someone will put it up on Instagram or Twitter,” he said according to Metro UK. “It just gets weird.”

“Then you start doing things like this,” he added while pointing to himself getting slapped in the face.
