All American’s Tye Sheridan was forced to leave the series due to scheduling conflicts.
In the third episode of All American, football player Spencer James (played by Daniel Ezra) is seen being driven home from a party. He drunkenly calls his best friend, Tye Sheridan’s character, Taylor. Taylor is asleep and doesn’t answer his phone, leading Spencer to drive into a tree and die. However, Tye Sheridan did not appear in the next two episodes of All American. The show later revealed that Tye had been forced to leave the series due to scheduling conflicts with Steven Spielberg’s upcoming Ready Player One film.
