Ronnie O’Sullivan has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a man in a snooker club.

Ronnie O’Sullivan has been arrested on suspicion of assault after an incident at a snooker club. The five-time world champion was arrested in Leicester on Sunday night and questioned by police before being released on bail. Police were called to the venue shortly before 10pm following reports of an assault.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: “We were called to the Snooker Club in Belgrave Road, Leicester, at 9.55pm on Sunday, October 27, following reports of an assault. “A man aged in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of assault and he remains in police custody.”

O’Sullivan’s manager declined to comment when contacted by Press Association Sport.
