The couple had been married for three years and Nishad was working as a chartered accountant. They had been living together for four years before getting married. Their parents had been looking forward to celebrating the new year with them in Switzerland.
They were staying at a five-star hotel in Davos, where they were celebrating New Year’s Eve. The Swiss police arrived at midnight and asked them to leave the country immediately. They did not have any papers to prove that they were Indian citizens or that they had valid visas.
The next day, the couple flew back to India without telling anyone about what happened. They did not even tell their parents about it.
