Jessica Jones was one of the main characters in the Netflix series Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones follows the titular character, a private investigator who is haunted by her past and who uses her powers to help people. The show also stars David Tennant as Kilgrave, a man with mind control abilities who has a long-standing obsession with Jessica. In season 2, there is a major shift in the narrative that sees David Tennant’s Kilgrave murdered by his own mother and replaced by another villain, known as Purple Man. As such, many fans have been wondering why Jessica left the FBI to join Alias Investigations.

Why did Jess leave FBI?

The decision for Jessica to leave the FBI was revealed in episode 6 of season 2. It was revealed that Jessica had been working for them since before she moved to New York City and had been helping them from afar while she worked at Hogarth Private Investigations. However, when Kilgrave reappeared after being presumed dead in season 1, she felt compelled to work on stopping him again instead of focusing on her job at the FBI.
