Jada Pinkett Smith’s short-cropped hair has sparked a huge debate on social media. The actress, who is married to Will Smith, shaved her head in a scene for her new movie. She revealed the drastic change in appearance on Instagram, where she was pictured with her husband and daughter Willow Smith. The photo received more than 1 million likes within hours of being posted.
The 45-year-old star, who plays the role of Fish Mooney in Gotham, said she decided to shave her head for the role after receiving advice from director and friend Spike Lee.
“Spike told me that he was going to do it,” she told Access Hollywood.
Why did Jada shave her head?
“I said ‘You’re going to do what?’ And he said ‘I’m going to shave my head.’ I thought that would be really cool.”

“No! I’ve never been bald.”
