Why did Fortnite remove Trios

The game’s latest patch makes it harder to find teammates.

The latest Fortnite update has made it harder to play the game’s popular Trios mode. Epic Games have reduced the time it takes to create a match in this mode, but also reduced the time players have to find a teammate before being forced into a duo match. It’s an interesting change that will likely affect how many people play Fortnite, especially since it is an unpopular opinion that Trios is actually more fun than Duo and Squad modes.

What was Fortnite’s Trios mode?

Trios was one of the most popular modes in Fortnite, with players able to play together as three friends or with strangers on their team.

In June 2018, Epic Games announced that they were removing the trios playlist from all game modes except for Solos and Duos for season 6 of competitive play due to lack of participation in this playlist.
