Casey was a main character on Chicago Fire from 2012 to 2018.

Chicago Fire star Jesse Spencer is leaving the show after seven seasons. The actor confirmed his departure in a statement on Twitter, saying he will “miss playing Casey and working with this incredible cast and crew.”

Spencer joined the show in 2012 as firefighter Casey, alongside Taylor Kinney, Monica Raymund, Lauren German and Eamonn Walker. He was promoted to series regular in season two, before becoming a lead character in season three.

Casey has been through a lot during his time on the show. He had an affair with Severide’s wife Gabby (played by Monica Raymund), which led to their divorce. He also dealt with PTSD after he was shot by a sniper while trying to save a young girl.
