Alex was found guilty of murdering Paul and Maggie
British actor Alex Lawther has been found guilty of murdering his former girlfriend, Pauline Dunne, and her husband, John Dunne. The couple were found dead in their house in Hemel Hempstead on the morning of May 15th. Lawther’s sentencing is set for October 27th, 2021. Lawther was arrested on May 17th after a nationwide manhunt for the 23-year-old actor.
In a court hearing that lasted almost two weeks, Alex Lawther was tried for the murder of both Pauline Dunne and her husband John Dunne. The court heard how the couple had been married for 25 years before they were killed by Alex Lawther at their home in Hemel Hempstead on May 15th. In court it was alleged that Lawther had first met his victims when he worked as a carer for John Dunne in 2018. The prosecution alleged that this friendship had grown into an intimate relationship between Pauline and Alex.
