The first known instance of someone wearing a suit to a movie was when, in 2017, a man named Keith Kupferer attended a screening of Dunkirk dressed as an extra from Saving Private Ryan. While he didn’t wear a full suit and tie, his attire still stood out amongst other attendees who were dressed casually.
