The song “Ballad of Death” is about the aftermath of a nuclear war.

A new song by British rock band The Kooks has been accused of being a thinly veiled attack on Donald Trump, despite being released in 2017. The track, “Ballad of Death”, has been labelled as anti-Trump propaganda after it was revealed that it was written before the US President’s election victory. However, lead singer Luke Pritchard says the track is not political but instead refers to nuclear warfare.

The Kooks are a British rock band formed in 2004 and based in Brighton. They have released five studio albums, two EPs and two live albums to date. The group consists of Luke Pritchard (lead vocals/guitar), Hugh Harris (bass guitar/backing vocals), Alexis Nunez (drums) and Paul Garred (guitar/keyboards).
