Netflix has announced that the second season of their documentary series Why Women Kill will begin casting in London this November. The first season, which premiered on October 15th, followed women who were behind bars for killing their husbands or partners. Season 2 will focus on women who have killed strangers, but the streaming service hasn’t released any details about what the new season will entail.

Season 1 followed six women behind bars for killing their husbands or partners. The first episode focused on a woman named Karen Lowe, who killed her husband after enduring years of abuse at his hands. Lowe was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole and was featured in four out of six episodes. In episode two, viewers learned about a woman named Aileen Wuornos, who killed seven men over a period of five months in 1989 and 1990 before being arrested.

The third episode focused on an ex-convict named Michelle Anderson, who murdered her husband and two children before being arrested by police. The fourth episode focused on Kelli Carpenter-Merkley, who shot her husband while he slept after enduring years of abuse at his hands.
