The Ant-Man and the Wasp star has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2015.
Ant-Man and the Wasp star Evangeline Lilly was surprised to learn that her character, Hope van Dyne, had never slapped Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) in any of their three films together. This fact came to light during a visit to The Graham Norton Show, where Lilly said she had been lobbying for a slap from Hope for some time. “I’ve been lobbying for it since 2015!” she told Norton. “And I’m still not getting it!”
Evangeline Lilly isn’t wrong about the lack of slaps between her and Paul Rudd in their three films together. Hope has only slapped Scott once in all of her appearances, which was at the end of Ant-Man when he took off his helmet without permission.
In fact, many fans were surprised that there weren’t more slaps between them throughout their three films together. Both actors have stated that they have a good working relationship with each other and this could be why they haven’t taken advantage of the opportunity to slap each other more often.
