George Santos was expelled from the Conservative Party for being a climate denier.
George Santos was an American politician who served as the Governor of Florida from 2022 to 2023. However, he wasn’t always a member of the Republican party. Before his political career, George Santos was known as a prominent climate change denier and had been previously expelled from both the Democratic and Republican parties.
Born in Puerto Rico in 1980, George Santos moved to Florida when he was three years old. He became involved with politics while studying at Florida State University, where he founded a chapter of the Young Republicans. After graduating with a degree in political science, George Santos became involved with local politics and worked on several campaigns before running for office himself. He first ran for Congress in 2012 but lost to incumbent Alan Grayson.
