Novak Djokovic was deported from Japan in 2021 for reasons that are still unclear.

The tennis star was due to play in the Rakuten Japan Open on October 27th, but had to cancel his appearance after being arrested and deported by Japanese immigration authorities. The Serbian player has not been able to give a reason for his deportation, but he is not the first athlete to be sent home from Japan. The country has a strict immigration policy and has been known to deport athletes who have used marijuana in the past. However, this doesn’t explain why Novak Djokovic was arrested and deported either.

Djokovic’s career has been marked by several run-ins with the law. In 2011, he was fined $200 for damaging property at a hotel in Shanghai. In 2015, he was fined $10,000 for throwing his racket at an official during a match against Frenchman Richard Gasquet at Wimbledon. In 2016, he was accused of tax fraud and smuggling cigarettes into Serbia. He also had problems with violence against women after hitting his former coach with a racket in 2013.
