PhonePe, the payment app owned by Flipkart, is facing a temporary outage.

PhonePe, the payment app owned by Flipkart, is facing a temporary outage. The news comes just days after Amazon announced that it would be shutting down its own payments service in India. The outage started at approximately 10:30am IST on October 27th and was still ongoing at the time of writing. PhonePe is one of India’s most popular digital payment services and claims to have more than 80 million users. It also offers other services such as cashback and recharges.

The company says that it is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible but has not given any indication of when it expects to have everything back up and running again. PhonePe has not yet responded to a request for comment from TechCrunch about what caused the outage or how many customers are affected.
