Why are Stanley cups so popular Why do we have Leap Year

Phil Mickelson is the best golfer in the world, but he’s not at the Masters.

Phil Mickelson, who has been named World Golf Hall of Fame’s “Player of the Decade” for 2000-2009, and has won five major championships, was notably absent from this year’s Masters. The left-handed American golfer announced his decision to skip the 2019 Masters on February 20th, which he claimed was due to “personal reasons.” Since then, many have speculated that his absence is related to an ongoing investigation into insider trading charges against him. However, it seems that there are other factors at play.

Why isn’t Phil at the Masters?

In April 2018, Phil Mickelson was charged with insider trading by federal prosecutors for selling stock in Clorox when he knew about a possible merger between Clorox and a company called Kingsford Capital Management. The deal would have led to a significant increase in Clorox stock prices.

Forbes, which described Phil as “one of golf’s most successful investors ever” reported that he made $9 million from selling off his shares in 2012 before news of the merger became public knowledge.
