Why are Stanley cups so popular Why do we have Leap Year

Tom Brady is a four-time Super Bowl champion and the greatest quarterback of all time.

Tom Brady, one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, announced his retirement on Thursday. The Patriots icon was drafted by New England in 2000 and has since won four Super Bowls with the team. He is also a five-time MVP winner and holds countless records for passing yards, touchdowns, and wins. Here’s why Tom Brady is retiring at the age of 40.

What happened to Tom Brady this year?

The New England Patriots have been one of the most successful teams in NFL history, but they haven’t had much success since Tom Brady took over as starting quarterback in 2001. After winning their first Super Bowl under his leadership that year, the Patriots have gone on to win four more championships with him under center.

The Pats won their latest title back in February 2018 when they defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII. This was also their sixth championship under Tom Brady’s leadership.

Why did Tom Brady retire?

As great as he’s been for New England over the years, it was clear that he wasn’t playing at 100 percent this season. The 40-year old QB missed several games due to an Achilles injury that he suffered during a game against Miami on December 2nd.

Brady underwent surgery to repair his Achilles tendon shortly after suffering the injury and has been rehabbing ever since.

Despite his best efforts to get back on the field for another season with New England, it appears that he just couldn’t do it.

He officially announced his retirement from football on Thursday morning via Instagram.
