The Guardian reported that the average woman will use 10,000 tampons in her lifetime.

There are a number of reasons why there is currently a tampon shortage in the UK. The first reason is that more women are using tampons than ever before. According to The Guardian, the average woman will use 10,000 tampons in her lifetime. This means that they’re using more of them than ever before and need to restock their supply more often.

Another reason for the shortage is that some brands have been bought out by larger companies. For example, U by Kotex was purchased by Kimberly-Clark and Playtex was purchased by Reckitt Benckiser.

A third reason for the shortage is Brexit. Because of Brexit, Britain will be subject to tariffs on goods imported from outside of Europe and this has caused a rise in prices for these products.
