The Giants game was delayed due to the weather.

The Giants game was delayed on October 27th, because of bad weather. However, the team was not playing in New York at that time. The Giants were playing a home game against the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. While this is where the game should have been played, it had to be moved to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA due to Hurricane Dorian.

Why wasn’t the game played at MetLife Stadium?

MetLife Stadium is located in East Rutherford, NJ and is about 30 miles from Gillette Stadium.

Hurricane Dorian made landfall in Florida on Sunday morning as a Category 4 hurricane with winds up to 140 mph.

“It’s just not safe,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told CNN.

“We are monitoring and tracking the storm closely,”
“but we do not anticipate any changes to our schedule this weekend.”
“We will continue to monitor throughout the week.”
