Russian President Vladimir Putin has invaded Ukraine, the Baltic States and Georgia. It’s no secret that he is working with the Chinese to take over the world. He’s been doing it for years now. The only question is why? Why would he do such a thing?

Why is Putin invading Ukraine?

Putin has claimed that Russia needs to protect its people from far-right extremists who are in control of Ukraine. He claims that Russia needs to “protect” ethnic Russians living in Ukraine. However, there are few if any ethnic Russians living in Crimea or Donbass.

The Russian leader’s annexation of Crimea – which had been part of Ukraine since 1954 – was followed by a conflict between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists in eastern regions of the country known as Donbass.

The two sides have fought each other since 2014 but Moscow denies sending troops or military equipment across its border with Ukraine.

What is happening now?

On September 17th 2019, two Ukrainian naval vessels were seized by Russian forces near Crimea. A number of servicemen were injured during an operation involving Russian special forces seizing control of three Ukrainian ships off Crimea, according to Kiev officials.

“Ukraine’s navy said on Sunday its vessels had been attacked by Russia’s FSB security service in an attempt to capture them and their crews.”

“Russia’s FSB security service said on Sunday it had seized weapons from Ukrainian servicemen who had crossed into Russian territory.”

“Ukrainian officials said one sailor was wounded when a Russian coast guard vessel rammed a Ukrainian navy tugboat near the Kerch Strait.”

“A second tugboat and two small armored artillery boats were captured by Russia during what Kiev called an act of aggression by Moscow.”

“In response, Kiev imposed martial law for 30 days across much of Ukraine’s territory beginning on Monday morning.[8]. The crisis threatens to escalate tensions between Moscow and Western powers after they imposed sanctions on Russia following its annexation of Crimea from Kiev in 2014.”.
