Jimmy Carter is in hospice care after being diagnosed with cancer.

Former US President Jimmy Carter has been admitted to hospice care, a family spokesperson has confirmed. The 93-year-old was diagnosed with cancer last month and is now being cared for at home.

Carter was the 39th president of the United States, serving from 1977 to 1981. He is a well-known philanthropist and human rights activist who has continued to work in politics since his time in office. In 1994 he won the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts.
