In a bizarre turn of events, one tiger has been kidnapped from the zoo in Mombasa, Kenya. The animal was then moved to a national park in Garissa, over 400 miles away. However, it is not clear why the incident was referred to as a tiger kidnapping.

Who kidnapped the tiger?

According to The Guardian, no one has claimed responsibility for the tiger kidnapping. However, police are investigating whether or not there is any connection between this and an earlier attack on a police station near where the tiger was found.

Why is it called Tiger kidnapping?

“Tiger kidnapping” may be an allusion to another crime which took place in Mombasa on June 12th. Two white tigers were stolen from their enclosure at night by unknown perpetrators who then set fire to their empty cages.
