What is Super G?

Super G is one of four events that make up Alpine Skiing at the Winter Olympics. The other three events are Downhill, Giant Slalom and Slalom. The name “Super G” comes from its abbreviation “SG” which stands for “super giant slalom”. This refers to how it combines elements from both downhill and giant slalom skiing.
