Why Her? is a comedy-drama film released in 2018. The film follows Ned (played by Simon Pegg), who has just broken up with his girlfriend. As he tries to move on, he meets and falls for his best friend’s sister, Zooey (played by Zoey Deutch). Ned becomes obsessed with Zooey and struggles to see why she isn’t as perfect as he thinks she is. This leads him to find out that she has some secrets of her own.
While Why Her? was not a major box office success, it received positive reviews from critics. The movie was directed by Robert B Weide and written by Mark Poirier, who also worked on the script for the 2015 comedy-drama While We’re Young.
