Kundra was accused of sexual assault by a woman on social media.
Raj Kundra is one of the most recognisable faces in Indian cricket. The businessman and his wife Shilpa Shetty became household names in the early 2000s, following their marriage and subsequent appearances on reality TV shows. In recent years, Raj has become known for being a high-profile cricket administrator, as well as for his numerous business ventures. However, he has been criticised for his involvement with the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is currently suspended following allegations of match-fixing.
Why does Raj Kundra cover his face?
The IPL was thrown into turmoil earlier this year when it was revealed that its former chief Lalit Modi had been running a betting syndicate. As part of the investigation into this syndicate, several prominent figures were arrested including actor Vindoo Dara Singh and cricketer Sreesanth. While speaking to the press about these arrests, police inspector Vijayamohan Nair made several allegations against Raj Kundra, claiming that he had paid off bookies to ensure his team won matches.
